Water is the oldest of the sun and the earth
According to our current understanding of science, the Sun came first. It was formed about a million years before the Earth was formed. So the Sun is older than the earth, and is pretty much the source of life itself in the galaxy.
How old is the sun?
The sun, at 4.6 billion years old, predates all the other bodies in our solar system. But it turns out that much of the water we swim in and drink here on Earth is even older.
Is the water on earth older than the sun?
Some of the water molecules in your drinking glass were created more than 4.5 billion years ago, according to new research. That makes them older than the Earth, older than the solar system — even older than the sun itself
